Making a Difference Through the Study of Flight Operations Students will leave ready to build a career as a professional aviator or pilot within the commercial airline, corporate or general aviation, emergency medical services, air cargo operations, and charter operations. Students earn a multi-engine rating as well as receive jet transition training in a CRJ 200 airline simulator and can continue the program to conclude with a flight instructor certificate. ![]() The program begins with a basic private pilot ground school, continuing with instrument rating, and then reaching a commercial pilot certificate. ![]() At the University of Dubuque, the Flight Operations degree aligns students with professional ground school and flight training from day one.
